Trinity for special tasks

Trying to deepen the mystery of the Holy Trinity today, I realised that God in the Trinity is the perfect embodiment of unity in diversity! Every Divine Person is so different from the other, yet they are one in absolute terms. That is possible only thanks to perfect love. God the Father does not want the Son to be His copy, and the Holy Spirit can be freely sweeping over the waters, not forcing the rest of the Trinity to do the same. Everyone has their own tasks and character. No wonder, that God, who is Himself pure diversity, created a world so full of multiplicity of forms and richness of expression. There are no two of the same people, and yet we are called to live in harmony. This diversity is beautifully explained by my Novice Mistress in the last episode of the series “Spirituality of the Heart”  about our internationality.

Unfortunately, we can not always create this harmony. Looking at the divisions in the world and attachment to what is “mine” and “familiar”, I would love to know how to build bridges and agreements, look for what we have in common and create something much better than if everyone thought the same and agreed on everything. This, however, sometimes seems so difficult that even impossible. The walls seem so high that there is no hope that they will ever fall.

Do you remember Trinity from the Matrix and her mission to save the world? The real Trinity has already saved us long ago. Yet still, the world is wounded after sin and longingly awaits the final fulfillment of the Promise. So I thought that perhaps, looking for unity between us, we must call not only God who created the world and Jesus, who gave His life for us and the Holy Spirit, who makes us capable of faith, but all of Them at once! Maybe it is the Trinity for special tasks that will make us look at each other with love and accept each other as we are. It is worth a try! 🙂
